The Cybersecurity Analyst detects and responds to threats, hardens systems against known risk, and supports compliance with security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security tooling and investigate alerts
• Lead or support incident response and post-incident review
• Run vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation
• Maintain security documentation, standards, and controls
• Support access management and least-privilege review
• Deliver security awareness guidance to staff

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or equivalent experience
• Security certification such as Security+, CySA+, or CISSP advantageous
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring or incident response

What success looks like

• Alerts are triaged within agreed timeframes
• Known vulnerabilities are tracked to closure
• Incidents are documented with clear remediation
• Security standards are current and evidenced
