The Finance Manager runs the accounting cycle and turns financial data into information the business can act on, while maintaining the controls that keep reporting reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close and produce management accounts
• Prepare budgets, reforecasts, and variance analysis
• Supervise accounts payable, receivable, and payroll interfaces
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts
• Support statutory reporting and external audit
• Monitor cash flow and working capital
• Develop and mentor finance team members

Qualifications and experience

• Professional accounting qualification or active study toward one
• Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Solid experience of month-end close and management reporting
• Experience with recognised ERP or accounting systems

What success looks like

• Month-end closes on schedule with clean reconciliations
• Budget holders receive analysis they use in decisions
• Audit proceeds without material adjustments
• Cash forecasting is accurate and current
